Just back from Vegas, and the largest jewelry show in the world, here’s what we learned in one of the seminars we attended!

Tanzanite is an heirloom gemstone, discovered in 1967 in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro and found no where else in the world.  The precious, exotic gemstone is more rare than diamonds and the supply is limited.  That is why it is the ultimate “push gift” for the babies being born now.  With it’s color a blueish-purple, it is similar in hardness to emerald but not as brittle.
